From the moment I came up with the idea for Mala and Mantra, I knew I wanted my brand to be an agent for change + goodness in this world. Not only did I seek to spread mindfulness + M-power the world through wellness, but I also wanted to find a way to give back to the community + artisans in my family’s homeland, the Philippines.
That’s why I teamed up with a Fair Trade cooperative of women artisans in the Philippines, where a team of very talented women handcraft each + every piece of Mala and Mantra jewelry. In exchange, we’re able to provide them with a safe working environment, fair wages, and a way to sustainably support themselves, their families + their communities.

Watch the video above to learn more about Mala and Mantra’s mission to support fair, sustainable fashion, and to see these incredibly gifted artisans at work. I also hope you’ll join us on our journey to make a difference in the world, one mala bead at a time.
Wishing wellness,
