Meditation is the practice of quieting down the chatter of the mind so that we can allow the body to heal, as well as connect to our true Self, the energetic being within that is within all things. Meditation is not stopping thoughts. It is tapping into our own essence, our authentic nature, which is stillness and silence. Meditation is free of cost, without side effects, and there is nothing that works over the counter as quickly or effectively.
We need no props and no tools, just a comfortable seat and a quiet space. The only bad meditation is the one we don't do, so be easy on yourself. Meditate for the amount of minutes you have each day and work up to a 30-minute, twice-a-day practice. To go deeper, find an instructor in your area or find a meditation app to guide you. The only rule is to be comfortable and let everything else go.
