I AM GRATEFUL…For a Blessed 2014

It's almost impossible to believe that 2014 is already coming to a close. And while Im looking forward to 2015 and all the opportunities, love, and happiness its sure to bring, I dont want to say goodbye to 2014 without expressing how grateful I am for all of the amazing things that happened to me—and to Mala and Mantra—throughout the year.

The manifestation and launch of Mala and Mantra

It’s long been a dream of mine to create my own jewelry line, but it wasn’t until this past February at the Live Love Spa event in San Diego that I was able to make that dream a reality. Its been such a blessing to consciously create my line of spiritual mala beads, and Im grateful to wake up each day knowing that people around the country and the world are learning how to live a more mindful, spiritual, and healthy life through the pieces Mala and Mantra creates.

The warm welcome M+M has received

I’ve yet to stop marveling over how kindly and graciously my friends and colleagues in the spa, resort + hotel industry have supported the launch of Mala and Mantra. This brand would never have gotten off the ground without them—or without the support of you, either.

The ability to support our Fair Trade Cooperative in the Philippines

Ive talked about this time and again, but I am so proud of and thankful for the opportunity to partner with an unbelievably talented group of female artisans in the Philippines. These women handcraft and hand-knot each and every Mala and Mantra piece, and the end result is phenomenal. Just knowing that we can help provide these women with a safe working environment and sustainable income for themselves and their families is such a blessing.

The launch of our Moda Mala collection

Part of living a more mindful life is being aware of how each of your actions affects those around you and the world youre living in. Thats why launching our Moda Mala collection this summer was so important to me. Each of our Moda Mala pieces is made from sustainable beads sourced from the Philippines, and thats just one way our brand works to be eco-friendly. We continue to be grateful for the enthusiastic response we received from the local and national yoga communities when we introduced this collection at Yoga Journal Live! in San Diego.

Welcoming 51 new M+M stockists

I never dreamed that less than a year after launching Mala and Mantra, we would have more than 50 amazing spas, wellness centers + retailers carrying our mindful jewelry. We’re thankful for each and every stockist that is part of the M+M brand, and so grateful that theyre helping to spread our heartfelt message of mindfulness and empowering women through wellness.

The launch of our community workshop program

Empowering women and giving back to people within my community has always been a mission close to my heart. Thats why I was so excited to launch a new community workshop program earlier this month, where Mala and Mantra is able to help underprivileged women in San Diego by providing them with professional skills in jewelry making. Be sure to stay tuned in January for more information about this amazing program.

I also want to thank each and every one of you for all of the love and support you’ve given to me and the brand throughout the year. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish all of these amazing things without you, and we can’t wait to do even more in 2015.

Namaste,
